Volunteering
Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do here at RSPCA Wigan, Leigh & District.
Why Volunteer With Us
Each and every volunteer makes a huge contribution to the work we do and it is an enjoyable and rewarding way of helping animal welfare in area you live. All volunteer roles – even those not directly involving animals have a significant impact on animal welfare and support the vital work we do.
Volunteering with us is not only a great way to meet like-minded people who share the same enthusiasm for animal welfare, but there are lots of other benefits too, such as:
The chance to try out something new
Gaining new skills or developing existing ones
Gaining a sense of achievement and building your confidence
Putting something back into your local community
Doing something useful and rewarding
We have a variety of different types of volunteering roles. They include roles such as:
Charity shop volunteer
Van drivers
Receptionist / administration
Home visiting
Gardening / maintenance
Cleaning
Social media / Website support
Online selling
Clinic support
Fosterers (click to see more)
and many more…..just tell us your skills and experience and what you are able to offer.
