Animal Cruelty or Neglect If you are concerned about the welfare of an animal please phone the RSPCA National Helpline on: 0300 1234 999The National Helpline operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If you need to report cruelty or an animal in distress there is certain information the RSPCA needs to investigate. Please read the reporting cruelty checklist for further information. The RSPCA receives a call for help approximately every 30 seconds. Some situations that may appear distressing are not against the law. In their daily work our inspectors have to prioritise cases where the law is actually being broken. The call will cost the same as any call to a UK landline number. You will be asked a variety of questions to ensure that your call is prioritised according to its urgency.
