Welcome to the website of RSPCA Wigan and Leigh District Branch

RSPCA Wigan, Leigh and District Branch is a separately registered charity to the national RSPCA and we must raise our own funds in order to continue to help local animals.

Our low cost welfare vet clinic is open to dogs and cats of local people who are on a means tested benefit.

Last year it cost over £15,000 a month to run the branch; we receive no government funding and rely on your donations and legacies to continue to help sick and injured local animals.

For information on ways you can volunteer or donate please ring us on 01942 824 165

We are a very small team so if we are unable to answer your call please leave a brief message and a contact number - we will get back to you at the earliest opportunity

The office hours are Monday to Friday 9am - 4pm, however outside of days we have a vet clinic running the building itself is not always open to the public. Our phones are not manned evenings, weekends or Bank Holidays.

Please note we are unable to contribute towards private vet fees

Incidents of cruelty or neglect should be reported to the RSPCA National Phone Line 0300 1234 999 - Please do not call our Branch as we do not have any inspectors based at our site.
