Calls cost £1.50 per minute and the average cost of a call is £7.00, billed to your phone. Similar to NHS Direct it takes calls from pet owners who are worried about their pet.
Financial assistance
If your pet needs veterinary treatment and you are on income support or housing (or other means-tested benefit) the local RSPCA Branch may be able to provide some help towards the cost of visiting the vet. This assistance is subject to agreement with members of the British Veterinary Association and the Vet may ask to see proof of your entitlement. If you live in Wigan and in a WN2 or WN7 postcode area, you are eligible to be treated at our Headquarters owned Greater Manchester Animal Hospital, 411 Eccles New Road, Salford, MANCHESTER, M5 5NN. Open 7.30am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. Tel 0300 123 0711.
